Port St. Lucie, FL-May 9 – Today, Belinda Keiser, Vice Chancellor of Keiser University, announced she is running for Florida Senate District 25. For more than 30 years, Belinda has served as an entrepreneur and educator, a workforce talent advocate and an economic development leader in Florida including 20 years on the Treasure Coast.
Belinda was raised in a family where hard work and patriotism were not just a part of everyday life, they were central to who they were. “Both of my parents were educators and my father is an Air Force veteran while my mother, a survivor of WWII, went on to be an Early Childhood Education professor at Florida State University. Through my family’s examples, I have made a lifetime commitment to public service by helping students develop their talent, working with employers to create jobs, and facilitated opportunities in the Treasure Coast community and the State of Florida, serving the various needs of the residents. I want to bring my perspective as an educator and economic development leader to our local community and to Tallahassee, to continue to create a prosperous Florida and enhance the beautiful quality of life we share in the Treasure Coast.”
